FROMM FOUNDATION FELLOW AT THE 2025 COMPOSERS CONFERENCE
I will spend 2 weeks at the Avaloch Farm Music Institute to participate at this year’s Composers Conference as a Fromm Foundation Fellow. I will participate in numerous workshops and masterclasses with guest faculty members Felipe Lara (Peabody) and Melinda Wagner (Juilliard). My time at the festival will culminate in the performance of my micro-opera “The Interlocking of Hands” for soprano with flute, trombone, viola, bass, piano, and percussion.

As my prize for receiving the top award in the 2025 George Shirley Vocal Competition’s Composers Division, I have been commissioned to write a song for the following year’s competition. Additional details to come soon.

As the culmination of my participation in the NATS Mentorship Program in the 2024 - 25 season, members of the Cincinnati Song Initiative (Andrew Hallam and Calvin Stovall) will premiere my song “the remote hunger of droning things” for baritone and piano in a virtual concert.

LAKE GEORGE MUSIC FESTIVAL
Fellowship within the Composers Institute at the Lake George Music Festival under the direction of Alyssa Weinberg. I will be workshopping my second string quartet “rats, snakes, weasels” with The Rhythm Method in addition to attending lectures with guest faculty members Donnacha Dennehy (Princeton) and Amy Beth Kirsten (Curtis, Juilliard).
